Trogir CRO Melges 24 Cup – Panjic's dream weekend under the walls of Kamerlengo
The view of the old town of Trogir and the Kamerlengo tower last weekend were the perfect stage for the sea battles of the best Croatian sailors in the one-design Melges 24 class. The premier edition of the Trogir CRO Melges 24 Cup, which was sailed as part of the fifth edition of the Outdoor Festival, once again showed all the splendor of Croatia sailing 'League of Champions'.

In a great competition between 17 crews from Croatia and the Czech Republic, the overall victory was won by the Biograd crew Panjić. Despite the demanding weather conditions and light wind, a complete program of six sailings was completed in which Panjić was a different dimension compared to the others. With three victories, two second places and fourth place as the worst ranking, the crew of helmsman Tonko Rameša functioned like a perfectly tuned machine on the regatta field in front of Trogir. In the end, a convincing victory with 11 points ahead of the second-placed Mataran 24 and 14 points ahead of the Razjaren crew.
"I would like to thank our Armatore Luka Šangulin, who entrusted me with the helm for this regatta. We illuminated the face of Panjić in Trogir. When all the points were added up, the genius and world experience of Tomislav Bašić decided, the crew did a standard top job, I served more as an auto-pilot. We functioned as a team and that brought the result," Panjić skipper Tonko Rameš said.

As the host of the Trogir CRO Melges 24 Cup Outdoor Festival regatta, the current European champion in the Corinthian division, the Matarana 24 crew won a silver medal.
"As an organizer, we are overjoyed because we had great sailing, in which the absolute highlight was the finish under the walls of Kamerleng in the 'Masters under Sail' regatta. A little more concentration and luck was needed for a sports result, Panjić deservedly won Trogir. I would like to thank the city of Trogir, the tourist community of the city of Trogir, the community of sports associations of Trogir, Trogir Outdoor Festival, radio Trogir, restaurants Franka and Bocel, Way Point charter, SCT Marina Trogir, ICZ RODOP sailing team, all our partners and people who were part of this our beautiful Trogir stories', said member of Matarana 24 and one of the organizers Ivo Matić.

In the Corinthian category, Tutta Forza won ahead of SHE and Iggy. Zadar has a hundred percent performance at the CRO Melges 24 Cup regattas this season. With three victories in three appearances (Dubrovnik, Biograd and Trogir), they clearly highlighted their candidacy for the overall winner of the Cup in the amateur category.
The CRO Melges 24 Cup continues after the summer break when the Split Sailing Club hosts a regatta from the European Melges series scheduled from October 5 to 8.
