Lagoon details Eighty 3, its largest powercat to date

Groupe Beneteau’s Lagoon catamaran brand presented more details of its largest powercat to date – the Lagoon Eighty 3 – at its French shipyard in Bordeaux last week. The Lagoon Eighty 3 is the result of a collaboration between the Bordeaux shipyard and VPLP naval architects, Patrick le Quément for the exterior design, and Nauta Design for the interior. This new powercat is the bigger sister to the Lagoon Eighty 2 sail catamaran. She will have her world premiere at the Miami International Boat Show in February 2026.

The Eighty 3 is described by le Quément as being “designed for bold, adventurous spirits. The Eighty 3 is distinguished by her distinct character and capacity to adapt to all preferences. Each detail is designed to be personalised, to create a unique yacht.”

The new model is 24.4m (80ft) but it is certified as under 24m. The Eighty 3 provides over 300m² of living space and can be configured to have between four and six cabins for eight to 16 people. The four-cabin version has a lower deck galley and a skipper’s cabin. She is powered by two John Deere N13 580hp engines and can carry enough fuel for a range of up to 3,500Nm.

The superyacht has a wide range of customisable options to meet the needs of any owner. A 50m² flybridge is accessed by a staircase from the aft open cockpit area. The latter is a flexible space available for a mix of activities from dining to relaxing and socialising. Adjacent to the cockpit is the modular aft swim platform of up to 22m² which can be configured to accommodate a jet ski or a tender, or simply as a lounge area.

The flybridge has an upper helm station with Raymarine displays and a joystick control, with all handling being precise and offering cruising comfort, stability and safety. The bimini and roof are equipped with solar panels to power the various equipment on board. The panels are integrated and paired with an engineered Lithium battery pack, enabling the renewable resources to be maximised for periods at anchor.

The forward cockpit of the Eighty 3 provides another socialising area in addition to the aft cockpit and the spacious saloon which can easily accommodate up to eight people for relaxing or entertaining. The windows give wide panoramic views from the saloon, a space that naturally links the aft and forward cockpits.

To fit with the luxury onboard such a vessel, buyers have an extensive choice of materials, textures and colours. Onboard furnishings feature fine materials, including a marble table, armchairs with braided leather backrests, decorative glass panels, natural stone countertops, and woodwork in a brushed finish.

The large modular saloon can be arranged to create different living spaces. The owner’s cabin features a king-sized bed with views of the sea, a private terrace, and space for relaxation.
