For overnight stays on boats 20 percent less tourist tax lump sum

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia has adopted an Ordinance on the exemption from paying tourist tax for persons using the overnight service on a nautical tourism vessel.

The Ordinance on exemption from paying tourist tax for persons using the overnight service on a nautical tourism vessel exempts shipowners and persons using the service of overnight stay on a nautical tourism vessel (sailors) from the payment of part of the tourist tax, 20 percent of the lump sum tourist tax which is paid according to the length of the vessel and the time period of stay on the vessel.

For a tourist tax paid in the period from 1 January 2021 until the entry into force of the ordinance, boaters are exempted from paying part of the lump sum of the tourist tax and extend the validity of the paid tourist tax by 20 percent of the period for which the tax is paid, if time for which the fee has been paid has not elapsed until the entry into force of the ordinance.
