The Melges 24 class closes the season in Zadar

From Friday to Sunday in Zadar, organized by the Sailing club Uskok, the curtain will fall on a great sailing season. The Open Croatian Sailing Championship in the Melges 24 class with 21 registered sailboats, 20 from Croatia and one from Ukraine, and 93 sailors will be a record this year's regatta of the best sailing series on the Adriatic.

In the stellar line-up, the cream of Croatian sailing is expected at the start. Current and former Olympians and world and European medal winners such as Mihovil Fantela, Ivan Kljaković Gašpić, Filip Jurišić, Pavle Kostov, Karlo Kuret and numerous other great masters of the wind. The title of Croatian champion on home soil is defended by the Tutta Forza sailboat, whose crew includes a trio of Croatian sailors from the 49er class Mihovil Fantela, Pavle Kostov and Petar Cupać. This year's competition of the CRO Melges 24 series started in February in Dubrovnik, and after six regattas, the Universitas Nova, skippered by Ivan Kljaković Gašpić, is in the lead. The Zadar regatta lasts from Friday to Sunday, and a total of nine races are planned.
