The 23rd Biograd Boat Show, the largest nautical fair in Central Europe, has opened

The 23rd International Nautical Fair Biograd Boat Show opened in Marina Kornati, organized and hosted by Ilirija dd, in Biograd na Moru on Wednesday, as the largest nautical fair in Central Europe and a golden member of the International Federation of Boat Show Organizers, which brings together 36 prominent world nautical fairs.  The character of the fair itself, with an exhibition of ships at sea, and exhibitor stands at the piers and the third largest marina in Croatia, with beautiful weather, allowed to maintain the continuity of the event this year, as last year when this was one of only three nautical fairs in Europe. Over 300 exhibitors are present at the fair of exceptional importance for Croatian nautical and tourism in general, and in compliance with all epidemiological measures. The fair was held in the presence of the President of the Management Board of Ilirija d.d. Goran Ražnjević, organizer and host of the fair, Luka Burilović, President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Kristjan Staničić, Director of the Croatian Tourist Board, Ivan Knez, Mayor of Biograd na Moru, Nina Perko, Director of the Maritime Administration, Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, Božidar Longin, County Prefect of Zadar, Igor Radić, Advisor to the Minister of Tourism and Sports, opened by Nataša Tramišak - Minister of Regional Development and European Union Funds. President of the management of the host and organizer of the fair Ilirija d.d. Goran Ražnjević reminded of the role of Ilirija as the founder of nautical tourism, because 45 years ago it was the first to build a nautical tourism port, with its own charter fleet of 40 vessels, which made Biograd na Moru the cradle of nautical tourism, and pointed out:

- Biograd Boat Show is recognized as a central gathering place for all key segments of the Croatian nautical industry which, in the last year and a half in extremely difficult business conditions for the entire Croatian economy, especially tourism, has shown the greatest resilience, vitality and ability to achieve exceptional tourism results. Today, the Biograd Boat Show is recognized as a fair that unites in one place the exhibition fair of ships and equipment, congress, charter and business to business, which speaks volumes about its tradition, strength, recognizability and competitiveness. It is better to say that the Biograd Boat Show has profiled itself as a congress of the Croatian nautical industry and tourism, which will be held again this year under the sign of "4 fairs in one". I believe that this year's fair, at the end of another extremely challenging business year, will show in the best possible way what nautical tourism has shown during 2021 - ability, readiness and flexibility even in the most difficult business conditions, and ultimately exceptional results. Distinguished exhibitors, partners, sponsors and visitors, all lovers and admirers of the sea and nautical, on behalf of the entire business system of Ilirija d.d. we wish you to enjoy the largest Central European and Croatian exhibition of watercraft in the next five days.

This year, the Biograd Boat Show is marked by "4 fairs in one" - exhibition, congress, charter and business to business, ie: Biograd Boat Show - exhibition fair, 5th Croatian Nautical Day - congress fair, Croatia Charter Expo - charter fair and Biograd B2B - business fair.
