Shanghai Boat Show 2022 cancelled

Shanghai Boat Show 2022 cancelled

The organisers of the 26th China Shanghai International Boat Show (CIBS) have announced the cancellation of this year’s event. The decision was made in accordance with the latest Covid restrictions issued by the Office of Epidemic Prevention and Control.

Originally planned for March 31 - April 1 and then later postponed to June 22-24 at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre in Shanghai, the event will now take place in 2023 (March 27-29) at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Centre (SWEECC).

“We apologise for any inconvenience this postponement may cause,” reads a statement from the organisers. ”We are paying close attention to the development of restrictions on gatherings in Shanghai, and we remain in close communication with the exhibition center and relevant government departments. We are working hard behind the scenes to create the safe and high-quality experience our exhibitors, visitors and partners have come to expect from us.

”We wish to thank each and every participant who has supported us, and greatly appreciate your patience and understanding.”

The organisers are now focussing on preparations for the 2022 Greater Bay Area International Boat Show, which will take place in Shenzhen from December 14-16. The China Shanghai International Boat Show is one of the most comprehensive and longest-running boat shows serving the entire industry. Last year’s event attracted around 37,000 visitors and nearly 600 exhibitors.
