Furiosa 2 celebrated at the Jadranko Matana Memorial

Last weekend in the sea near Vitrenjak, the Zadar regatta started, which from this year is called the Jadranko Matana Memorial. On the Saturday before the start of the 1st race, in memory of their recently deceased member, the sailors blew their horns from their boats, and the wreath was thrown into the sea by the president of the Uskok Sailing Club, Ive Mustać. Nineteen boats with more than a hundred participants took part in the regatta. The route of the first voyage on Saturday was from Uskok, around Jidula to the finish line in front of Uskok. The start was for a light, changeable westerner who later settled down, "formed" and enabled a nice sailing on a great day. The start of the second race was on Sunday, the route from Uskok, around Mišnjak and the finish in front of Uskok. After these two navigation races held on Saturday and Sunday, the Furiosa 2 crew with coxswain Igor Ćupić won, while the second place went to the Gringo 3 crew led by Robert Sandalić. The third-placed crew of the Sail la vie helmsman Darko Smrkinić was also on the podium. Interestingly, the first four crews in the ranking are members of the home JK Uskok, while the fifth place went to CocoLoca from JK Ventana.
