World Premiere of the Monachus 70 Fly at the Venice Boat Show

The Monachus 70-Fly is an ambitious project that was deliverd on schedule and made its world premiere at the 2022 Salone Nautico Venezia, offering the traditional Mediterranean style and modern design features as in the Pharos 43 and Issa 45 models, but with a wealth of experience and design features that sophisticated clients demand.

At 21.5 meters LOA and with a 5.7 meter beam, the hull lines offer a highly accentuated bow which is both practical and visually stunning, highlighting the agile dynamics of the vessel. Even at first glance, it is obvious that this is an elegant yacht with a sporting spirit backed by serious maritime capabilities. But first glances do not do it justice, as its advanced propulsion technology places this model at the pinnacle of classic-style motor yacht production.

Two 13 liter, 900 hp Volvo engines are mated to Volvo IPS- 1200 propulsion systems, providing the propulsion effect of classic shaft driven propellers of with 1200 hp. In addition to the fantastic propulsion effect and maneuverability, the IPS drives significantly reduces fuel consumption by up to 35%. Exhaust gases are emitted deep below the water line on the IPS unit itself, resulting in extremely quiet and odorless voyages.

To compliment the uniqueness of this premium vessel, a dynamic position system (DPS) will be a standard feature offering the user a one touch button to maintain an exact geographic position as well as control of the bow-stern axis. The Monachus 70-Fly is also equipped with IPS Joystick control units at three command posts located at the main deck wheelhouse, the flybridge wheelhouse and the aft cockpit. Self-leveling interceptor flaps provide a horizontal position during navigation, while self-tailing winches provide the final touch to allow this vessel to be handled by a crew of as few as two persons. All these features are designed to improve real world usability.
