Leopard brand back with new 36m

Seven Stars Marina & Shipyard has announced it is to build the first 36m model by Leopard Yachts - the first step for the relaunch of the historic brand born in 1973 from the Picchiotti family. The design was entrusted to the Andre Bacigalupo, former designer of many successful models within the Leopard brand, and a pupil of Paolo Caliari who designed the first model of the brand. It was announced in June last year that a group of Italian entrepreneurs with experience in the yachting sector, had decided to relaunch Leopard Shipyards.

The new Leopard will be produced at the Tombolo shipyard, where the last Leopard boats were built. The shipyard was recently taken over by Seven Stars Marina & Shipyard, an established company in the shipbuilding industry.  The restart operation of the brand will include investments to produce new lines of boats with different sizes in order to meet the expectations of new ship owners. Each project will be customised. In addition to the new 36m, two 24m and 46m yachts are also being planned at shipyard, located on the historic Navicelli Canal, which connects the city of Pisa to the Livorno harbour.

“We are proud of this investment that comes from the common will of a team of entrepreneurs to revive a historic brand of Italian Nautical Science and Made in Italy - declares Davide Mugnaini, CEO and Partner of Seven Stars Marina & Shipyard.

Leopard Yachts intends to meet the needs of the best ship owners on the market, thanks to its design and production excellence, and its attention to every detail. Owning a new Leopard will be a privilege, an experience that will be unique starting from the purchasing choice.

“Each new Leopard will be a unique piece, the result of Seven Star’s shipbuilding expertise respecting the heritage of the Brand and the values it has always represented,” added Mugnaini.

”This solid path will include, in addition to an important communication activity, a careful business activity aimed at the first potential customers, to whom the project will be presented along with the chance to customize it thanks to the knowledge and passion that we will put in place. During our business activities, we’re going to be supported by TWW Yachts thanks to an agreement that will allow us to provide our shipowners with a 360° service coherent with the Seven Stars philosophy. These services will go beyond the mere sale of the ship and will include, if the shipowner desires, support in the construction process, the management of the ship, basic maintenance services and everything that may be needed to best meet the needs of the shipowner”.
