Global debut of Aquila 70 at Palm Beach Show

The upcoming 35th Palm Beach International Boat Show (March 25 through 28) will be of particular importance to the Aquila luxury catamaran brand as it will globally debut it new flagship, the Aquila 70. The company has already received three orders for this new yacht and delivery of Hull 1 has now taken place and will be at the show.

The Aquila 70, powered by two Volvo Penta D-13 1,000hp engines, has a top speed of 27kt yet can still cover long ranges at slower speeds. Carbon fibre bulkheads and reinforcements keep weight down while adding to the yacht’s strength. The high bridge-deck clearance allows for even more comfort underway and improved speeds.

Alain Raas, Aquila brand manager, told IBI: “We are very excited for what the future holds for Aquila within the US as well as international as demonstrated through our continued success and growth in sales with our broad range of power catamarans. The Aquila 70 luxury power catamaran is a splendid yacht and it is exciting to see where the brand is going now and into the future.”

All Aquila catamarans are built at the Sino Eagle facility in Hangzhou, China. The Aquila 70 offers large spaces designed with a European flair that is bright, inviting and welcoming, including a 27ft-wide master suite. Versatile interior layouts, along with rich wood finishes, soft fabrics, touch-control smart appliances by Gaggenau, designer Italian furnishings by Natuzzi Italia, incredible headroom, and panoramic windows all contribute to the onboard experience.

Outdoor areas receive just as much attention. The Aquila signature bridge-to-bow stairs make it easy to access the foredeck from the flybridge, which can be fully open or enclosed with A/C and a wide Portuguese bridge for easy access from aft to bow.
