Ferretti 500 - entering the world of elite yachting

German car industry giants like Mercedes with the A-Class, as well as BMW with its ‘units’, probably do not significantly increase the profitability of their factories, but affect the availability of their vehicles to a wider circle of premium car fans. This is exactly what the new and smallest Ferretti model offers - the best of this top Italian brand summed up in fifteen meters in length. Happy are those who have access to such a yacht, and we had the opportunity to study its prototype in La Spezia, Italy, on the eve of the presentation at a private event of the house.

Under the motto ‘Just like home’, this yacht offers the possibility for comfortable family accommodation, with one big advantage over larger Ferretti models - it is small enough that you can operate it yourself without any problems. The exterior design is signed by Filippo Salveti, who has sharpened Ferretti’s classic silhouette a bit, but she has remained true to the home style that this brand has been following for decades.

The big news is the interior design, which was entrusted to the Ferretti 500 by the IdeaeItalia studio and which refreshed this model with a new design style and gave it a beautiful ‘soul’ in the style of decoration inspired by Santorini. Gentle tones of oak are combined with bright interior fabrics and blue pillows that really give it a unique charm. This style of decoration in Ferretti was called ‘contemporary’, while the ‘classic’ style of decoration inspired by the Italian Portofino with darker tones of the yacht decoration is also available to customers. But the new Ferretti is much more than a stylistic step forward, it is a yacht that optimally uses every square centimeter of surface with solutions that further optimize the existing ship's units...
