ePropulsion Americas in collaboration with Heysea announces the launch of the Seaview 50 catamaran

ePropulsion Americas has announced the launch of the Seaview 50 catamaran – a collaborative effort between Heysea Yachts Co Ltd and ePropulsion Technology Ltd. ePropulsion developed the 48V marine energy storage system for the catamaran, which consists of four batteries, a 48V energy distribution unit, two hybrid inverters, a set of approximately 1900W solar panels, an AC distribution panel and a diesel generator – providing clean energy for the vessel.

The Seaview 50 is equipped with a 47.10 KWH lithium iron phosphate battery that can be charged using solar energy, a generator or shore charging stations. Once fully charged, it can support air-conditioning for 6-8 hours, ensuring a sufficient power supply for a quiet and comfortable nighttime environment without the need to run the generator. This design not only optimizes fuel efficiency and reduces carbon footprints but also meets global environmental standards, promoting the development of sustainable sailing.

“New energy vessels are gradually becoming the mainstream trend in the future of the shipping industry, with China’s yacht manufacturing sector leading this transformation as a pioneer,” says Danny Tao, co-founder and CEO of ePropulsion. “ePropulsion will continue to explore business models and global market opportunities for yacht electrification in collaboration with HeySea.

“Through deep cooperation and resource sharing, we aim to showcase the competitiveness of Chinese brands on the international stage and jointly create a new chapter in yacht electrification.”

Earlier this year, Heysea and ePropulsion signed a strategic cooperation agreement to expand their areas of collaboration and scope, fostering new energy development solutions through a partnership approach.
