Docking Display - software help that makes it easier to maneuver ships

Raytheon Anschuetz, a manufacturer of marine electronics and software solutions, has developed the Conning NX navigation software add-on as an additional menu for easier maneuvering and docking of ships and yachts. This functional addition, dubbed the “Docking Display” in Raytheon to the helmsman on board, shows the position of the ship relative to the shore as well as the engine and boat parameters most important for docking.

As a useful safety feature, the Docking Display does not offer control, but only a different display with the addition of software solutions such as placing the ship's icon in the center of the screen, moving and zooming the map, and displaying details. Although this software add-on is intended for docking, it will, if you wish, also show the navigation preparation of the previously completed route plotted on the map.
